Medical Assistants
As a medical assistant, you're at the heart of ProMedica health care, offering excellent customer service, a friendly smile and a positive patient experience. A role as an MA will give you a solid place to start as you explore pathways for growth at ProMedica, with the opportunity to experience family medicine, specialty and urgent care environments. And ProMedica supports your exploration. We offer a paid training program and help you as you consider roles such as nursing while you enhance the ProMedica patient experience.
Patient Transporters
Patient transporters get a good look at how our hospitals operate and a great opportunity to help patients feel more comfortable during what can be a stressful time. In this rewarding role, you work alongside and build relationships with the entire health care team - physicians, nurses, therapists and others - and you make a difference in the patients' experience by helping them feel at ease as you transport them from place to place safely and promptly. The most important requirements for this ProMedica role are a smile, a cheerful manner - and the ability to carefully navigate hallways and elevators.
Sterile Processing / Surgical Technicians
Making sure surgical instruments and medical equipment are sterile is vital to patient safety. Sterile processing technicians decontaminate, prepare, sterilize and distribute instruments and equipment throughout a surgery center. This is a great place to start if you want to work in a clinical setting but aren't ready or don't want to perform patient care. We'll train you while you work in a positive, supportive environment with a team dedicated to your career growth.
Surgical techs have completed an accredited program at a community or junior college, vocational school, hospital or the military. You'll work under the direction of a registered nurse or operating manager. ProMedica surgical techs work in general or specialty surgery - and within a culture of teamwork, mentorship and positive morale.
Patient Registration
You make a great first impression. You're the first point of contact when a patient arrives and set the tone for the patient and family experience. In this fast-paced role, no two days are the same and the patients are diverse - but a warm smile and friendly welcome are always vital.
