POSITION SUMMARY

Primary position responsible for the generation and implementation of new products for Paramount, with the primary focus being around the commercial product. Evaluate new and upcoming trends within the health insurance space. Maintain project plans, issue logs, and status reports. Participate and lead project meetings and workgroups, including the Commercial Steering team, with multiple, simultaneous projects. This position will assist in product development projects from concept through commercialization.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Lead and assist in the coordination of Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and Finance departments in operationalizing new products and product updates.
  2. Assist in product issue resolution and product optimization across multiple lines of business, with the primary focus being on commercial products, including individual ACA plans.
  3. Research and evaluate potential partnerships with outside vendors to improve product positioning within the market.
  4. Lead negotiation and implementation of contracts with outside entities, utilizing both internal and external resources.
  5. Participate and lead cross-functional teams, as required, to advance the business interests of the company.
  6. Generate both routine and ad-hoc product reporting to management.
  7. Assist with research and development efforts to bring new products and ideas to market on schedule and within budget.
  8. Provide support to project teams from product design to implementation.
  9. Analyze customer requirements and provide optimal product development solutions.
  10. Perform other duties as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, statistics, actuarial science, or insurance required.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of business operations and functions required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with all levels of employees required.
  • Ability to discuss and negotiate contracts with internal and external parties and assist with the implementation of new and existing products.
  • Ability to lead, plan, coordinate, and organize multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Proven strong project management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be adaptable to change, display qualities of initiative and be able to work independently.
  • Demonstrate creativity and be able to develop innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • Must have ability to generate quality work product under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health insurance or related field required.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s of Business Administration or Master’s of Public Health

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Work from home and office environment hybrid. Must have the ability to move between workstations. Ideal candidate will be well-versed in computer applications and operation.
