RN / Registered Nurse – Intermediate / Step Down Care - Variable Shifts and Schedules Available

Job Requirements

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is one of the largest acute-care facilities in the region. Scope of Service: The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to individuals and groups which require specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences.  The Registered Nurse functions within the full scope of nursing practice as noted by the Board of Nursing of their designated state for which they are practicing in addition to compliance with any of the hospitals accrediting bodies. 

Intermediate Care Units:

• Our ProMedica Toledo Hospital is a nationally recognized hospital which boasts a total of 8 Intermediate Level Units, each specializing in medical and pre/post-operative surgical patients. 
• Specialty Units Include: Cardiac, Neuro, Stroke, Trauma, Progressive, and Observation - which works alongside our ED
• Each unit ranges in size from 19 – 24 beds, has a 1:4 or 1:3 nurse to patient ratio, and offers a cross-functional team of highly esteemed Physicians, RNs, and Nursing Assistants.

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.  BSN preferred
• Current State license as a Registered Nurse
• 1 year of experience as an RN
• Current CPR / BLS Certification
• Specialty certifications as required for the department
  • **RNs for these unit will be required to obtain ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification if they have not already obtained this and NIHSS for the Neuro, Stroke, and Observation Units
