GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER INTERESTED IN NEUROLOGY

ProMedica Physicians Neurology is recruiting a motivated Acute Care Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  to join an established neurology practice in Toledo, Ohio.  The practice has served the Toledo area for many years and has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality, compassionate care.     

Job Description:

  • Obtains complete histories and performs physical exams, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families
  • Assists with neurological consults and admissions, and with provider rounding, to include: writing notes, orders, wound care, etc.
  • Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds
  • Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services
  • Works in a collaborative team approach, with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and families
  • Clinical skills may include Nerve Blocks, Toradol injections, Lumber punctures

  • APP will be working with a physician at all times
  • Monday – Friday / hours range from 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Now is the perfect time to join our neurosciences team and be a significant part of growing our Neurosciences Program.  ProMedica and the University of Toledo Medical Center are developing a comprehensive neurology program which draws from 27 counties throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.  Construction of the new 80,000 sq. ft. Neurology / Neurosurgery outpatient building is now open as of April 2018!  Opportunities will exist in Ohio & Michigan, within and around regional / satellite practices.</p>

PA - 

  • Masters of nursing (MSN) degree with an acute care focus. 
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio
    • PA-C
  • Certificate of Authority to practice is required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Experience in neurosurgery preferred, but  all candidates will be considered with the appropriate training, background and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment toward achieving customer/patient satisfaction.
  • Post offer pre-employment required to include tobacco / drug screen / nicotine testing

ACNP - 

  • Masters of nursing (MSN) degree.
