The Palliative Medicine group is looking for a Certified Nurse Practitioner with superior assessment and interpersonal communication skills, who is compassionate, with high moral standards, and is a team player. The ideal candidate must be able to handle difficult conversations and stressful situations well. This position requires community visits and In-patient rounding. Palliative Medicine provides services to both the inpatient and out-patient in metro Toledo and SW Michigan with life limiting or chronic illnesses. The goal is to relieve suffering and ensure patient and their families have the tools to make informed decisions.

Position Advantages

  • Monday-Friday, with some Saturday coverage

  • Masters of nursing (MSN) degree
  • Palliative Care, Hospice, ICU, or Oncology experience preferred
  • Must be licensed or license eligible in the state of Ohio
  • Certificate of Authority to practice is required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must demonstrate and promote a strong commitment toward achieving customer/patient satisfaction.
  • Post offer pre-employment required to include tobacco / drug screen / nicotine testing
