We offer a full range of diagnostic, medical, and surgical specialties in areas such as emergency medicine and trauma, heart and vascular, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, women’s services, and children’s services.

Position Summary

The Employee Safety Specialist will implement and coordinate the proactive employee safety and health program, including loss provention. This includes, but is not limited to, worker accident investigations, facility inspections, regulatory compliance monitoring, support to safe patient handling program and other safety initiatives that will ultimately result in a reduction of employee injuries.

 

*This position will sit at the Steam Plant building located at ProMedica Headquarters in downtown Toledo, but will be required to travel between all ProMedica facilities.  
 


  • Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a safety related field 
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred (can be obtained after hire)
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training and certification to be completed upon hire if not already certified
