Dosimetrist I - Medical Physics - Full Time - Days

There are many outdoor activities to enjoy at our nationally recognized Pacesetter Park, along with music and entertainment found at Centennial Terrace and Downtown Sylvania, and the LPGA annual tournament.  The Flower Hospital campus is a 311-bed facility that houses the Hickman Cancer Center, ER Trauma Center, and is the regional leader for inpatient adult psychiatric services.  The campus includes, the Goerlich Center, which provides residence for patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, along with the Ebeid Center our hospice facility.

Position Summary:

Provides calculations and computerized distributions of radiation doses to patients undergoing radiotherapy at Flower Hospital and associated healthcare facilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited program OR experience in lieu of education and certified/able to obtain certification
• Skills: Must be able to read and comprehend verbal instruction and have knowledge of math, physics, anatomy, physiology and computer entry.
• Years of Experience: < 1 year + clinicals completed
• Certification: eligible to take CMD Board certified test and must obtain within 2 years of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree of an Accredited Dosimetry Program
• Skills: Knowledge of Eclipse Treatment Planning System
• Years of Experience: 2+ years experience
• Certification: CMD
