Position Summary

The Manager of Provider Development/Relations is responsible for performance measures for a specifically defined territory in the areas of:

  • Network expansion activities in new and established OH and MI areas
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability to goals and integrity
  • Reporting and accountability to Director of Sales/CEO
  • Identify areas for potential expansion and formulate and present strategic plan
  • Assisting in Network relations, including satisfaction, communication, training, education and retention

 

Accountabilities

  • Provide input and ideas to Director of Sales for  expansion action plans for growth in new area
  • Recruit targeted providers via presentations, marketing promotional material, scheduled visits and meetings
  • Achieve network retention of 99.9% and satisfaction benchmarks
  • Create and prepare reports for the Director of Sales to monitor progress of network development activity
  • Build relationships with “key” dentists in area to assist with development issues
  • Identify problems and opportunities within the field of responsibility and submit recommendations appropriate for the issue
  • Develop positive relationships with providers, sales representatives, community leaders, and other related organizations.  Respond rapidly and appropriately to issues that arise
  • Provide ideas to Director of Sales regarding certain processes to ensure accurate and timely communication to network providers regarding company policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Education:  College degree required BA/BS
  • Skills: 
    • Strong communication, negotiation and closure skills
    • Knowledge of claims payment methodologies, benefits and restrictions and plan design
    • Excellent presentation and oral and written communication skills
    • General understanding of dental field
    • Strong analytical, problem solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Dental insurance industry knowledge and experience
  • License: Health insurance license encouraged within the first four months of the first year of employment
