Position Summary

This position performs work associated with provider contracting and provider relations services within Paramount Dental and the Paramount Provider Network within the state of Kentucky. You will actively work to recruit new providers to Paramount’s dental network to help ensure the growth of our employer group product offering. This position will identify areas for potential expansion of the dental provider network along with network relations including satisfaction, communication, training, education and retention. This role also works with the sales team to help promote Paramount Dental and our positioning against our competitors. Also ensures that all contract boilerplates meet regulatory and compliance standards for Kentucky and any other applicable states.



1. Network expansion activities in new and established Ohio and Michigan areas. 
2. Identify areas for potential expansion. 
3. Initial visits for recruitment purposes. 
4. Market research & analysis for recruitment. <br /> 5. 30 outreach phone calls per week for recruitment purposes. 
6. Review and preparation of contracts for contracting and credentialing. 
7. Assist in network relations, including satisfaction, communication, training, education and retention. 
8. Develop positive relationships with providers, sales representatives, community leaders, and other related organizations. 
9. 15 unscheduled provider office visits per week. 
10. 3 scheduled provider office visits per week. 
11. Ongoing visits for provider relations, education, and relationship building. 
12. Research and problem solving of provider inquiries. Respond rapidly and appropriately to issues that arise. 
13. Achieve network retention of 99.9% satisfaction and benchmarks. 
14. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability to goals and integrity. 
15. Other duties as assigned. 



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Skills: 
    • Strong communication, negotiation and closure skills 
    • Knowledge of claims payment methodologies, benefits and restrictions and plan design 
    • Excellent presentation and oral and written communication skills 
    • General understanding of dental field 
    • Strong analytical, problem solving skills 
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) 
    • Ability to travel overnight 
  • Years of Experience: 3 – 5 years experience 

Preferred Qualification

  • Years of Experience: 5 years + in dental industry preferred. 

Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands: 
    • Sitting for extended periods of time 
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and phone 
    • Travel capabilities that requires individual mode of transportation to visit client locations and team events 
    • Requires carrying a laptop to meeting locations 
    • Requires packing and carrying product information and supplies to clients and event locations 
  • Normal office environment; possible remote employee 
  • Travel in vehicle and occasional overnight stays 
  • No hazardous chemicals
